After the clay dried and fired the form of wool balls are successfully stay as you can see. The paper ball mould inside disappeared completely so the sculpture is hollowed inside now which is what I want.
Look closer to see the texture clearly. Each layer of the wool and each string are showing really clear. When I hold it I could feel the ball delicate. However, the other test I did which the couple balls, that I rolled the strings on the top after I dipped them in the clay, their shape were not hold very well as these two, now at least I know which way could hold the form better.( The ball at the bottom is the one I said which wasn't hold the shape good enough)
About the glazing plan, by the experience from my last test, I decide to reduce the black lines on the sculpture. So as you can see from the images above, there are only two or one lines there. The texture of the wools already have many layers and lines, if the black lines too many just will make the whole image even more messy. My idea is we are waving our time during our whole life and we also try our best to find out main time line which also life line. I actually make six more of these, I could like to arrange them together by the end to see how it goes, also try if bright light could through the side.
