Continuing the experiments about changing the material without changing the form of the pompoms and the wools. I said I need to find a way to make the sculpture hollow inside. After a supportive chat with tutor and technician, the solutions is found out.
Make a mount of paper balls first.
Rolling the strings on the top of it.
Dipping them into the clay, have to make sure each layer of the wools all covered by clay, so after the fire they will strong enough to hold the form when the paper ball disappeared.
Also, dipping the wools into the clay first then rolled them on the paper balls, just testing which way will take the form better after firing.
The most reason that I choose to continue this process instead of the cog process is, by the testing there is always something makes me curious that what gonna happening next. The cog process I already could see the results in my brain which is a group of photography and a short video to record the perform, then that's it. But for this idea leads me moving so far and every step has something new and interesting came out to take me to the next.
