( All the elements you need to make dumplings.)
After some research and thinking, I decide to expand my dumping idea to explore the whole project. And bring Diversity back to Ilkeston.
Dumpling can be a symbol of Chinese culture, it a common meal for Chinese family, and everyone in the family could join the process to make dumplings, that's a simple way to delivery love.

Semiotics of the Kitchen
Martha Rosler
In her video, "she mimics the television cooking demonstrations popularised in the 1960s by US cook and author Julia Child." She said" I was concerned with something like the notion of" language speaking the subject", and with the transformation of woman herself into a sign in a system of signs that represent a system of food production, a system of harnesses subjectivity."
So inspired by her, I thought I should make my own video about how to make dumplings. However, I don't want to make myself as a subject of the process, my main subject of my video is the process. I may be a part of the process, I can be the process controller.
As you can see, I edited the image to mono color and the letters are colored, that can make a contrast that lead audiences to read. I edited the rolling part faster than normal speed to make the video more interesting and funny. Also keep the original background voice to convince the audience that it's a real process and not mimics.
The meaning of this video is about exploring what can be the subject? Not only things can be subject, but also a process.
