Ilkeston was one of the biggest industry town in the East Midlands, the most well known factory is Stanton Ironworks. For our second project, we been luckily invited to display our final outcomes in the local museum. Also, we had a day trip to Ilkeston to visit the museum and walked around the town. Meaning to help us to know more history about Ilkeston and inspired for our project.
The museum actually is a old house which was for local teachers to live at last century. The kitchen, the shops and the war images on the wall, they makes me think about my home, my kitchen and what happened in my country at the world war 2 as well.
While I walked in town to the church and the grave yard, this town gives me a feeling-- death.
However, I do like the exhibition space they allowed us to use though, it's spacious.
How this place inspired me? How could I find the link to the theme which is structure?
