For my sculpture outcomes I am thinking how to take that form further. However, this week the collage making took me most of time. So I only had a bit time to make other sculpture test and it haven't fired yet.
Show you how the idea comes from.
So this is piece of package cut out paper. I find it quite interesting because it has a lace texture feeling but it's completely another material. I did use it for printing a bit however the pattern didn't showing well. So what I should do?
Could I transfer this cut out feeling into my sculpture?
I have to say, it's a challenge. I used the same plastic mould to make the main form then try to cut the package paper feeling. The difficult part is when the clay to wet I couldn't do anything otherwise the whole shape gonna be damaged. However, I can't cut it when the clay dry either, otherwise the clay will lose the strength then it will falling apart as well.
By the end I managed to complete one piece.
The hollow lines are quite fragile, I am not sure if couple of them will be broken after fire. I guess, now the only thing I can do is wait.
