This week's artist talk, we have Fry Face, an artist who does illustration, print, film. Listening her talking about her life experiences, inspirations of her art works and her attitude of art that make me feel she has the true and pure art spirit in her and leading her being creative at all different type of arts.
Fry Face never limited her strength on one certain type of art. Her works are covering so many different areas, print, line drawing, collaging, digital design, graffiti etc. Her earlier aboard life experience inspired her works a lot, thus, her works or the character she draw or the patterns she created all feels exotic to me. I do the love the female character her draw has horns on her head. I can feel that Fry Face actually wants to give women extra power.
Part of her art works, I actually attract by her attitude as well. She is chill person with a free spirit. You can feel her attitude through her works. I do like the way that how she shows her works out or to the market. She actually doesn't chasing people to buy her art, seems like she doesn't care that much about getting famous. She just creates her works and enjoy doing it. She is training to be a professional electrician as a main job to help her continuing her creative arts.
Listening her share her experience about life and art that inspired me. I feel like me and her are alike. I never limited myself to only create one kind of art, I am welling to try all the different types, I guess you just have to keep creating and follow the flow. Her talking makes me not too afraid of the future anymore, we don't have to be famous or use our arts to make money. We always could find a side job and by the same time that side job could help us capable to continue our arts.
