By the time flies, it's almost the end of this project, it's the time to put things together.
Ceramic dumplings after glazing and shows up beautifully. I brushed primary colours on the top edges of them, means to make them look more interesting but still look like real dumplings by the same time. The reason why I chose different colours instead of one colour is I want the out comes more linked the topic which is bring diversity and more colourful back to Ilkeston.
By changing different structures of them and took images to have a look how I should display them in the plate later.
However, I feel mix them up as the beginning is the best way to show. Because that's more looking like ready to serve.
Looking at the details, I do like the blue and red dumplings a lot. They make a high contrast by visual and we also can see the reflections on the plate. Every of the dumplings looks so detailed and delicate. Especially the blue ones, it reminds me the traditional Chinese blue and white porcelain. During this process, I figure it out how to make the effect, I could explore this technique more in the future.
Now I got the main subject that I want to set up of the installation for the exhibition, I got the poster printed as well. So I want to see how it will look like in a exhibition space.
As you can see, this's the actual space we gonna use. I tried use photoshop to show a similar result.
I am not sure if I could hang up two of my posters, because there are other people's works need to display as well. However, I think if I could put two of them on the wall could have a stronger visual impact than just only one. Repeating sentences can have an exaggerate effect.
