Landscape, is a big part of the whole art world. It can be created by painting, photography which are two demential. It also can be created by sculptures and buildings which are three demential. However, landscape can be the sky, the ocean and the moving field in the wind. It is a great art which been created by nature, by earth.
As a short piece of article here, I would like to introduce few artists' works to show you that the possibility of landscape.
The first series of paintings of landscape are from a British artist Philip Govedare. Seeing his works, I feel that the subject of his painting is the earth's skin. I can feel the different seasons, cold or warm. I can feel the river, the mountains, the depth of the land. It gives me a feeling that how great of our earth is and how small human are.
Then I would like to show you another way to present landscape.
This series of installation art is created by Mareo Rodriguez. When I see his works, I can feel a strong sense of oppression, like I am walking in a cave or walking in a small gap between huge mountains. Did he mean to create a landscape? I don't know. However, it gives me the feeling that makes me want to explore the power of nature and the power of earth.
Landscape can show the great of nature, the strong power of nature and the dark of nature. It also can show the beauty of nature.

Large mirrors laid into grassland and the audience could see the moving sky from the reflection of the mirrors. As we can see, the reflection becomes to the main subject of this landscape, and the landscape becomes to the live and giant frame. This frame can always change by different locations and weathers. The subject is always changing as well, because you could never see two same pieces of sky. How clever this idea is!
During the research, I have been surprised by seeing so many different kind of landscape art works. As an audience, I always feel that landscape could wake up my senses. It makes me to feel the air, the nature and the emotions.
